Interim head coach Antonio Pierce later claimed the role following the endorsement of several Raiders players. They also appointed Tom Telesco as general manager and Luke Getsy as offensive coordinator. Raiders hire Rich Scangarello

The Raiders have hired Rich Scangarello as their quarterbacks coach. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, Scangarello was most recently involved in pre-draft preparations with USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams, via SI.com. This decision comes as the Raiders aim to enhance their quarterback’s development and performance.

This marks Scangarello’s second stint with the Raiders, as he previously served as an offensive quality control and assistant quarterbacks coach during the 2009 NFL season. He now returns to the AFC West with a wealth of experience for the team.

Since 2019, the veteran has been the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos. His coaching experience also features a recent role as the offensive coordinator at Kentucky in 2022.

Nevertheless, he was let go at the end of the season. In 2023, the coach decided to take a break from coaching. Scangarello has held significant coaching positions with the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, and Philadelphia Eagles during his time in the NFL.
