Randy Orton joined WWE during the Attitude Era in 2002. The 14-time World Heavyweight Champion has showcased his athleticism numerous times, earning adoration from WWE fans worldwide for his charisma and wrestling prowess.
Recently, the Master of the RKO addressed his exclusion from the cover of the new WWE 2K24: Forty Years of WrestleMania edition. In response to a fan urging him to take a stand against this oversight, The Viper posted a one-word message on social media.
Randy Orton reacts to WWE 2K24 snub
‘The Legend Killer’ Randy Orton has been a WWE member for more than 2 decades. His achievements in the company have guaranteed him a legitimate Hall of Famer position in the future. Not so long ago, WWE released a cover picture for their upcoming game the WWE 2K24: Forty Years of WrestleMania edition
Some fans were disappointed with the company after they noticed that Randy was not included on the cover. A fan posted on Twitter/X and addressed the Stamford-based company on excluding The Viper. He even listed several records of Randy’s and emphasized why he should be on the cover for such accomplishments.
He said, “No @RandyOrton On The Cover Of #wwe2k24 Forty years of #WrestleMania. 18 WrestleMania Matches(3rd most), 8 wins (4th most tied with others), 2 main events, 7 title matches, 5 world title matches, entered WrestleMania with every championship in WWE. Shame on you @WWE @WWEgames.”
Randy Orton replied to the tweet with just the word “mood.” This surprised fans, as the Legend Killer is expected to be on the cover. His one-word response has left fans confused, and they eagerly await an explanation from The Viper regarding his absence from the game cover.
Randy Orton’s WrestleMania record
Randy Orton has been in 15 WrestleMania matches throughout his career. Among them, The Viper has won only 6 matches, and the rest he lost in the ‘Show of Shows.’ Orton’s first WrestleMania match was a Handicap match, where he teamed up with Batista and Ric Flair to defeat The Rock and Mick Foley.
In WrestleMania XXIV, Randy faced off against John Cena and Triple H in a Triple threat match for the WWE Championship. He won the match after he ‘Punt’ kicked Triple H and pinned Cena to emerge victorious. The next match saw Randy Orton facing his Legacy faction members Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in a Triple threat match. The Viper again won after he out-maneuvered his opponents.
During the WrestleMania XXVII in Atlanta, Georgia on April 3, 2011, Randy faced CM Punk in a one-on-one match. The ‘Best in the World’ unfortunately lost after Orton used his superior physique to overpower Punk and pinned him to take the win. The last match that The Legend Killer won was against, late wrestler Bray Wyatt for the WWE Championship in a singles match on April 2, 2017.
