Instead, they are relying on their recent arrivals and planning for significant additions in the upcoming summer, with players like Alphonso Davies and Erling Haaland on their radar.
Real Madrid reportedly agreed to a deal with Alphonso Davies
Real Madrid has no plans to sign or offload any players this month, rather they are focusing on making significant additions to the squad at the end of the season. Previously, it was reported that they had identified Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies as their top priority target.
Seemingly, the Canadian superstar is also in favor of a switch to Santiago Bernabéu, as he has already achieved all the titles possible and fancies Spain as the next destination for his club career. Reportedly, he has now agreed with Real Madrid on personal terms for a potential transfer.
The 28-year-old left-back meets all the criteria that the 14-time Champions League winners are demanding for their new full-back. However, Davis still has a year left on his contract with the Bavarians, and they are willing to extend his deal. Therefore, Real Madrid is subject to paying a transfer fee.
Also, this season, Carlo Ancelotti is missing two key figures in the defense, Eder Militao and David Alaba. The Italian boss aims to bolster the defense with new firepower. Additionally, they want to improve the left side of the defense, which Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia are currently manning.
