Verstappen ends Qatar GP leading his 769th lap of 2023

Max Verstappen has arguably led the most laps this season, and the total keeps increasing with every race as the Dutch champion often finds himself at the front of the pack within a few laps from the race’s start, unless he’s already starting from pole position. Except for Singapore, there hasn’t been a single race this season where he didn’t lead and end up contending for the win. The way he manages the race and harnesses the blistering pace of the RB19 is nothing short of phenomenal.

Max Verstappen tops Sebastian Vettel’s record

When it comes to Red Bull, Sebastian Vettel is often considered the bar for performance. This is due to his behavior and leadership in guiding the Austrian outfit to the heights of success during his golden era. Years later, the old legacy of Red Bull seems to have started again through the words of Max Verstappen’s pen in this era. ‘Super Max’ has been using Newey’s brilliance and the way Red Bull has managed to design an absolute beast of a car efficiently with near perfection. He has been flawless in his tactics and his qualifying performances raking up poles and during the race he doesn’t show a speck of immaturity when it comes to overtakes or defense against the cars behind him. Sergio Perez has lagged behind Verstappen in almost all aspects of talent and the difference is clearly visible.

Do you think Max Verstappen will be able to win more championships than Sebastian Vettel by the time he decides to retire.
