He also mentioned that he would not give up as he is a true Luchador and would defend his title anytime, He wrote, “I will defend this beautiful championship in any situation, a Luchador does not give up, a Luchador will always leave everything in every battle. Real reason for Fenix’s injury angle

Rey Fenix teamed with Penta El Zero Miedo at AEW WrestleDream to fight against The Young Bucks, The Gunns, and Orange Cassidy & HOOK in a 4-Way match for a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

After the match started Rey was attacked by The Gunns and took some damage to his injured shoulder. Due to the pain, Rey Fenix fell flat outside the ring and was written out of the match.

However, a recent update from Bryan Alvarez reveals that the AEW International champion did not suffer any injury at WrestleDream and he was written out of the match because he should be fit for this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.

“Fenix deal was an injury angle to try to protect him for Wednesday given he’s really banged up,” Bryan Alvarez tweeted.
