Since Aaron Rodgers arrived in New York, his transition from the Green Bay Packers’ star quarterback to the Jets’ player hasn’t been smooth sailing. From suffering a season-ending injury to facing wild criticism from fans and receiving warnings from Seth Rollins, it’s been a challenging journey for him in the Big Apple.
Nevertheless, any of them could leave the Jets’ starter to enjoy his time with the New York Jets, who once, amid controversy, even shared a different way of rehabbing from the injury.
When Aaron Rodgers described dolphins’ sex noises helped him recover
On ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show” back in 2023, Aaron Rodgers hinted at his unconventional approach to rehabilitating his leg injury. As he was then vying for a comeback, he revealed his exploration of alternative modalities, including the healing frequencies purportedly emitted by dolphins during mating.
“I’m looking into a number of different modalities… There’s ideas that some of the noises from the dolphins, when they’re lovemaking, the frequency of that is actually healing to the body,” he shared during the interview.
To get rid of the injury, A-rod underwent surgery on September 14 before embarking on an extraordinary rehabilitation journey. Meanwhile, the 40-year-old stunned onlookers when he appeared without crutches, and even throwing passes before a Jets game.
Surprisingly, the former Green Bay Packers player then returned to Jets practice less than three months after his surgery, utilizing the 21-day window opened by the team. Amidst swirling speculations, rumors swirled about a potential return to action in the Christmas Eve showdown against the Commanders. The Jets’ first-string quarterback himself dropped cryptic hints while also throwing two conditions for a return in the last season.
Nevertheless, despite the optimism surrounding Rodgers’ recovery and potential return, the Jets’ elimination from playoff contention dashed immediate hopes of his return to game action.
NFL is split on Aaron Rodgers’ potential RFK Jr. VP candidacy
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s recent revelation of considering Aaron Rodgers as a running mate for an independent presidential ticket in November has ignited a frenzy among NFL fans. While Rodgers and his representative have remained tight-lipped on the matter, social media platforms have been buzzing with speculation and divided opinions.
On one hand, fans expressed concern that Rodgers’ potential foray into politics could mirror his rocky start with the Jets, suggesting he might suffer an injury early in the campaign and be sidelined for the remainder.
“He’ll get injured at the first campaign stop and be out for the rest of the campaign.”
Another fan dismissed the news as a publicity stunt, attributing Kennedy’s interest in Rodgers to a ploy for media attention.
“I think it’s doubtful. Probably just a ploy from RFK Jr to get media attention. And he got it,” one comment read.
NJ.com’s sportswriter Steve Politi joined the ongoing discussion, adding a touch of humor with a hypothetical scenario involving Rodgers’ potential inauguration as VP and the Jets making it to the Super Bowl.
“If Aaron Rodgers is inaugurated as VP in January and the Jets make the Super Bowl in February, would the Secret Service have to gun down opposing pass rushers? These are the questions we really need answered,” Politi tweeted.
