With all the top tier championships in WWE will be defended at WrestleMania 40, the opponent for Rhea Ripley’s Women’s World Champion is still not confirmed. The challenger for Ripley’s title will be decided at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view next month in a six-woman elimination chamber match.
Today, on social media, the ‘Mami of the WWE’, Ripley sent a warning message to all the participants in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.
Rhea Ripley sounds off potential challenger
Rhea Ripley has proven herself to be one of the most dominant and ruthless wrestlers in WWE history, having held every women’s title in the company and winning the 2023 Royal Rumble. Being the leader of The Judgment Day, she has wreaked havoc on both RAW and SmackDown for the past two years.
Ahead of the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, Ripley posted a photo of herself on Twitter today with a message saying, “Everyone wants a piece. So, prove you’re worth my time.”
Ripley has been on a role since her debut on the main roster in 2021. She won the Royal Rumble match in 2023 and defeated the Queen, Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 37. She has almost beaten every superstar in the Elimination Chamber match, such as Nataya, Bianca Belair and Liv Morgan.
The first entrant for the elimination chamber match is already confirmed, as Becky Lynch qualified for the match by defeating Shayna Baszler last week on RAW. For the second spot in the Chamber, Liv Morgan and Zoey Stark will face each other on the February 12 episode of RAW.
Becky Lynch teases Rhea Ripley feud
In the WrestleMania 40 kickoff press conference today, the WWE Women Champion, Rhea Ripley, made her presence known by talking about her WrestleMania 40 plans. Ripley mentioned the ongoing feud between Iyo Sky and Bayley. Bayley, winner of the 2024 Women Royal Rumble match, has chosen her Damage CTRL partner, Sky, as her opponent after the faction betrayed her.
During Ripley’s speech, The Man Becky Lynch made her entrance to the stage, interrupting Ripley. Becky Lynch, the former Raw Women’s Champion who returned to action after a year-long hiatus, has been qualified for the Elimination Chamber match. Lynch mentioned that she will win the Chamber match and will come against Ripley for the title at WrestleMania 40. Lynch is no stranger to the elimination chamber, as she won the inaugural women’s elimination chamber match in 2018.
Before the six-woman elimination chamber match, Ripley will defend her title against the irresistible force, Nia Jax. As the event will be held in Australia, Ripley has a homecoming advantage, but Jax is arguably the only woman who can match Ripley’s strength and power, and she has made it clear that she wants to dethrone the champion.
