Jey Uso vs Jimmy Uso was one of the main attractions of WrestleMania 40 night 1. Jey Uso fought multiple battles in the summer against the Bloodline along with the one for his catchphrase and after Jimmy’s betrayal last year at SummerSlam, all roads inevitably led to WrestleMania. While the two siblings faced off against each other in their dream match, their father was watching from close by but on the TV screen and now Rikishi has taken an issue with the match, pointing out the missed opportunities.
Talking on his YouTube podcast, “Rikishi Fatu Off The Top”, the former tag team champion said, “I felt like they went out there, they delivered. I only wish that they could have had a little bit more time. I felt like there was a missing puzzle there, which is the guy who you’re listening to now.” (after 19:09)
Rikishi further added that he did not get any calls from WWE about any sort of involvement in the match, be it refereeing, commentating or having a front-row seat. While he was happy with his sons’ performance at the showcase of the immortals, his disappointment at not being involved in any capacity was quite visible.
Speaking of his sons, Jimmy Uso got kicked out of the Bloodline this past week on WWE SmackDown while Jey Uso is building up momentum after WrestleMania.
Jey Uso to renew hostilities with The Judgment Day
Jey Uso is set to renew hostilities with The Judgment Day on WWE RAW this week. After winning the fatal-4-way last week, “Main Event” Jey was able to confirm a date with Damian Priest for the heavyweight title. Following his win, a war of words broke out, but the action will get physical this week with Jey Uso set to face Finn Balor.
The Judgment Day, especially Finn Balor and Damian Priest, had their fair share of beef with the former Bloodline member as Jey Uso would like to end his own story at the WWE Backlash, which is the potential event for the title match.
