Rob Van Dam, a legendary wrestler, is known for his unique style and innovative moves. Despite being in his fifties, he can still perform in the ring with great agility and get fans chanting his name with his signature moves executed flawlessly.
Throughout his career, RVD has faced numerous top-tier opponents, including Triple H. However, he believes that a lack of communication with Triple H is a significant barrier, preventing his return to WWE after his departure.
Rob Van Dam discloses the key obstruction between him and WWE
Rob Van Dam, aka RVD, is considered one of the most skilled professional wrestlers of all time. He has had many battles with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Triple H. However, RVD has not returned to the WWE due to a lack of communication with Triple H.
Triple H currently holds the position of Chief Content Officer at WWE, where he makes important decisions. This achievement is the result of years of hard work and dedication. Initially, Triple H was a WWE superstar and worked his way up the corporate ladder.
On the other hand, RVD had a successful stint in ECW and joined WWE in 2001. He remained an active wrestler for six years and won numerous championships, including the WWE and ECW Championships. After leaving WWE in 2007, he made a brief return in 2013 before departing again in 2014. RVD made his last appearance during the 2023 draft but hasn’t been seen since.
During an episode of Marty Jannetty’s “Party with Marty” podcast, Rob Van Dam was asked about his relationship with Triple H. The wrestling legend revealed that they never had a close relationship and never talked regularly, which he believes is a major hurdle to his potential WWE return.
“No… I never really talk to Hunter. If I had that relationship with him where we talked, then maybe I would be there. I’m assuming that’s a big reason why I’m not there… Everyone can see I’m still in f*cking better shape than ever. I can work with a motherf**ker. If you ask me why I’m not there, I’d probably say relationships with the office, but I don’t know,” said Rob Van Dam.
Rob Van Dam’s last Wrestling appearance in WWE
WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam is renowned for his entertaining performances, particularly popular among WWE and ECW fans. He commenced his wrestling career in 1990 and had a memorable tenure with WWE. While he experienced a great start with the Stamford-based promotion, the conclusion was not as favorable.
In his final match for WWE, Van Dam faced off against the current World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, on SmackDown. This match took place a few days after the 52-year-old had defeated Rollins in the main event. Despite this victory boosting Van Dam’s momentum, it did not work out in his favor on the blue brand, as Rollins emerged victorious.
Van Dam has not participated in a wrestling match for WWE since that time. However, he has made occasional appearances for the company, such as showing up for the Raw Reunion event in 2019 and being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.
Earlier this year, Van Dam was also seen announcing the WWE Draft. Rob has had a remarkable career in wrestling and has achieved more than what most people aim for in this industry. However, he doesn’t seem to be retiring anytime soon.
