Roman Reigns joins $34 billion gaming franchise ahead of WrestleMania 40

Roman Reigns will be the focal point of not one but two epic bouts at WrestleMania 40. His main event encounter against Cody Rhodes is sure to be one of the most talked-about bouts in wrestling history.

One can’t help but wonder what would have happened if The Tribal Chief had been able to follow his dream of being a successful American football player. Because of his stardom, he has generated interests outside of wrestling as well, including the NFL.

Roman Reigns re-enters NFL world with Madden 24

With the release of their most recent game, “NFL Madden 24,” EA Sports is causing massive excitement in the gaming industry by including WWE superstar Roman Reigns in the mix. Reigns, already a household name in wrestling, is taking his star power to a new level by joining Madden’s Ultimate Team mode on the virtual gridiron.

When the game launches on April 4th, Reigns will be one of the “Reel Deals” members, where he’ll play the role of a right end. The surprising mix of sports and entertainment is made even more interesting by the addition of cinema, with Reigns standing next to the famous Burt Reynolds.

The unexpected inclusion of wrestling in the NFL game will bring together two popular sports in a unique manner, which is guaranteed to please fans of both wrestling and football.

However, The Tribal Chief was a standout defensive lineman at Georgia Tech in 2006, when he earned distinctions like All-ACC. That was before he got into wrestling.

Looking back at Roman Reigns’ football career

Defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against several opponents showcases Roman Reigns’ brilliance as one of WWE’s top talents. He is on his way to carving his mark into wrestling history at WrestleMania 40 and drawing near to the legendary title reign of Hulk Hogan.

Ironically, Reigns was a football player before he put his foot in the ring. He was born Leati Joseph Anoa’i, and he and the future Usos brothers were high school football sensations. His outstanding play was recognized in his hometown, where he was named Defensive Player of the Year.

Playing alongside football legends like Calvin Johnson, Reigns continued his gridiron adventure at Georgia Tech. He was named to the All-ACC First Team after a spectacular senior year. But Reigns’s destiny was different.

The diagnosis of leukemia during a physical check put an end to his aspirations of playing in the NFL. The unexpected end to his football career occurred after he temporarily joined the Jacksonville Jaguars after surviving cancer.

Later in his wrestling career, Reigns discovered his passion and followed in the footsteps of his hero Bret Hart by reaching the pinnacle of his career in Canada.

Oh, hi, this is Md Robin Ahmed, a WWE fan and I everyday go through a slew of popular WWE stories on Sportszion. Watching Big Show's Showstopper was the beginning of my passion for WWE, though I have to say that his Chokeslam is not one of my favorite moves. Over time, my love for professional wrestling has intensified, mostly due to the Shield, and my all-time favorite wrestler in WWE is Big Dog. I would give everything to be able to be within a few feet of him to witness his iconic Superman Punch and Spear. My major is engineering, but I'm most happy when I'm doing something artistic that doesn't put me under any pressure. Watching them wrestle and discuss their matches is always fun for me. And I've finally discovered a career that gives me fun since it allows me to with my dream heroes lifestyle. So, Welcome! I'd love to hear from you on LinkedIn and Facebook.
