Roman Reigns’ nephew Zilla Fatu learned of Chris Jericho’s generosity after Umaga’s death

The former WWE superstar Chris Jericho has been infamously known as The Demo God for his phenomenal in-ring persona. He is currently performing in AEW and is having a rocking time while defeating his opponent.

Many wrestling fans know him as the brute enigma for his daredevil stunts but there is a soft and kind side to this superstar. Recently, one of his kind acts was revealed by Zilla Fatu’s mother in a short video clip. The late wrestler’s wife praised him with some lovely words.

Zilla Fatu’s mother revealed a heartwarming Chris Jericho story

The wife of the late WWE superstar Umaga L.T. Fatu recently revealed in a YouTube video that Chris Jericho aka The Demo God donated a good sum of money through a cheque after her husband passed away in December 2009.

Umaga was one of the biggest names in WWE during his run. He had faced several big faces of that time and defeated most of them including the greatest of all time John Cena. He even brutally defeated The Second Saint City aka CM Punk. Even to this date, he is considered one of the finest Samoan wrestlers to ever exist.

“You know who gave me money when your dad died? Chris Jericho. He wrote a check, and Michael Chioda, the referee came to the funeral. He came with an envelope. He said, ‘They want you to have their blessing, their condolences to you and your family.’ I said, ‘What’s this?’, and [he said it’s from] Chris Jericho. Then I opened it up and it was a $5,000 check. Thank you, Chris Jericho, appreciate you.” said L.T. Fatu.

Jericho’s support to Damar Hamlin

In early January of this year, the 24-year-old NFL star Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest after colliding with an opponent on the field. The tragedy occurred in the first quarter of the Buffalo Bills’ match against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was then rushed to the hospital, and the match was suspended as everyone was concerned about his condition.

While showing concern, many well-wishers donated huge sums of money to Damar’s charity named “Toy Drive.” This charity was opened by the NFL star to help kids in need. While the donations were pouring into the charity, former WWE superstar and present AEW superstar Chris Jericho became one of the highest donors in the charity by donating a whopping amount of 10,000 dollars.

However, there is an interesting reason behind it as he first donated 5,000 dollars with his name misspelled, and rather than correcting the spelling, Chris donated another 5,000 dollars to the charity, which was then counted as 10,000 dollars from him. Many other celebrities like Tom Brady, Jason Hanold, and Matthew also donated to this charity. Fans also played a crucial part in this donation as they also donated as much as they could donate.
