Roman Reigns orchestrated The Rock’s Brutal Assualt on Cody Rhodes, Reaveals Paul Heyman

Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, so ‘The Tribal Chief’ orchestrated a brutal backstage assault on ‘The American Nightmare’ on Monday Night RAW, revealed Paul Heyman.

The Rock attacked Cody on the March 25 episode of WWE RAW, where ‘The Final Boss’ struck him from behind while Rhodes was preoccupied defending himself from Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. The People’s Champ caused the 2024 Royal Rumble winner to bleed from head to toe and promised that this assault is just the beginning.

Paul Heyman: The Tribal Chief Authorized Attack on Cody Rhodes

Paul Heyman is ‘The Wiseman’ of the Bloodline faction, and on WWE television he has been paired together with Roman Reigns since September 2020. During the March 29 episode of WWE SmackDown, the Special Counsel of ‘The Big Dog’ shared that the attack on Cody Rhodes was Roman’s plan.

Heyman revealed that The Rock attacking Rhodes suddenly was orchestrated “by orders of The Tribal Chief.” Last week’s episode of RAW saw one of the most graphic displays of brutality in professional wrestling in recent years. Fans were under the impression that ‘The Brahma Bull’ did that on his own, however, Paul’s statement made it clear that this was done under the order of the ‘Head of the Table.’

Jimmy Uso was seen near Paul Heyman during the revelation, and he further added that “The Tribal Chief” has plans to prevent Jey Uso from participating in their match at WrestleMania 40, as he would face the ‘Tribal Heir’ Solo Sikoa in the upcoming episode of SmackDown.

Paul Heyman Reveals Plans for The Bloodline Saga Moving Forward

The Bloodline faction has been dominating the top wrestling promotion for four years, and Roman Reigns has no plans to relinquish his position as the ‘Head of the Table’. Throughout these years, the 38-year-old star has faced multiple opponents aiming to dethrone him. From wrestlers like Kevin Owens, Brock Lesnar, Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes, and more, Roman has successfully evaded his adversaries this whole time.

During an interview with Graham GSM Matthews on WrestleRant, Heyman said, “I think under the creative guidance of Paul Levesque, the audience is more cognizant of our pursuit to define storyline first and at all times. But it has been that way for us since August 2020. Just the way we let that play out on television was the infancy of The Bloodline storyline. So it’s always been storyline first for us, and I think it took until the Paul Levesque era for the audience to realize just how much we incorporate the mantra of storyline first at all times,”
