Washington Huskies wide receiver Rome Odunze has consistently been a topic of debate in NFL draft discussions. “I got to see Caleb first hand. I got to see his talents and abilities. So definitely. I know he’s a student of the game and someone who brings a lot of passion and a lot of desire to the game. So, of course, to be paired up with him it would be something special”, Odunze said via SI.com.

The wide receiver doesn’t have a close relationship with Williams yet, but he acknowledged the quarterback’s positive vibes.

“I’ve seen him interacting with all of us. I got to say what’s up a couple times. But haven’t really interacted much. But I feel his vibe. I feel like he’s a good dude.”

The young star also hopes to learn from seasoned players like DJ Moore, and emphasized his eagerness to contribute to the Bears’ receiving corps.

“Definitely would like to play with him. He’s a baller, especially last season with his yards after catch and he’s able to make a big play. Big fan of DJ.”

The Bears’ recent acquisition of Keenan Allen has added depth to their receiving options. However, the question remains whether Odunze or another talented prospect should be their priority in the upcoming draft.
