Rookie Devon Witherspoon’s incredible performance in Seahawks’ victory over Giants earns high praise

Furthermore, their joys went knew no bounds as they discovered a rising star Devon Witherspoon in that lineup. The rookie hero highlighted his team’s victory by soaring to a 97-yard touchdown return off his first career interception.

The fifth-round pick astonished everyone with a strong performance the entire game, becoming the first rookie since Nick Bosa in 2019 to have two or more sacks and an interception in a single contest.

Following the game, the Seattle head coach Pete Carroll urged by saying that their choice for picking Witherspoon did not disappoint them and mentioned him as an “explosive” and “dynamic” player.

“This is the why we took him. To be active and to show that he gets this game of football, and it comes easy to him. He’s an explosive, dynamic player. We got to put him at nickel for the first time.”

During the game, the young star listed his name in another story, arising as the first Seahawks player to accomplish two sacks and an interception return for a touchdown in a game.
