Saints WR Chris Olave breaks his silence with three-word statement after video of his arrest surfaced online

After kicking the season off with a convincing win, the New Orleans Saints lost their form that led to more speculations when the team met back-to-back losses in their Week 6 and 7 games. Amid these nightmares, the Saints’ receiver Chris Olave has got entangled in legal issues.

As the news soon got recognition from the NFL fans and followers, the Saints player chose just three words to describe his fans’ mentality, after being released from the legal saga.

Former Ohio State Buckeyes was taken into custody by the Kenner Police Department for riding his motorcycle at 70 mph in a 35-mph zone on the 1700 block of Joe Yenni Blvd on Monday. He was observed driving erratically, changing lanes, and cutting other people off.

“New Orleans Saints player Chris Olave was arrested tonight for Reckless Operation, city ordinance, driving 70 mph in 35 mph zone. The incident occurred in the 1700 block of Joe Yenni Boulevard,” a statement read that the authorities released regarding his arrest.

However, the player was clueless that apart from being caught by the police, he was also caught in a camera that recently went viral.

The video shows the 23-year-old was seeking apology saying, “My bad dawg, I play for the Saints, man,” Olave said.

As shown in the video, the second-year receiver did not escape from the authorities, rather decided to cooperate with the legal procedures. Later, the receiver got himself free from the city of Kenner jail at 11:30 p.m.

After wrapping up a rookie season, recording a 1,000-yard season, Olave tossed 39 receptions for 471 yards and a touchdown this season.

The NFL world is always quick to respond to any kind of on-field and off-field dramas surrounding the players. Hence, Chris Olave’s legal saga could not escape from their eyes, and they remained to bash the player for his reckless driving.

Nevertheless, though Olave vow down his mind to the legal authorities, he was not ready to swallow the criticism of his fans. The overly negative comments forced him to leave three word statements for them.

“Damn crazy world,” he wrote in his X account, formerly known as Twitter.

Though it’s a common exercise of the football fans, Chris could not resist his anger this time. “They couldn’t wait to try to tear me down & bash me”, he was heard saying.
