During a recent episode of First Take, Sharpe shed light on his thoughts about the frontrunners of the MVP title this year by picking the Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa and San Francisco 49ers QB Christian McCaffrey right at the top while keeping the Buffalo Bills Josh Allen at the third spot.
The NFL fans and analysts raised eyebrows as the list didn’t contain Mahomes’ name, who is arguably the best signal-caller in the league right now. Since making his entry in the league, the dual-threat has never had a down year.
Nevertheless, Sharpe’s take also can’t be nullified as both QBs mentioned in his list are constantly performing well while the 27-year-old running back McCaffrey is catching attention lately by showcasing his caliber to impact every facet of the game, making him a standout candidate.
Meanwhile, the ex-NFL star blatantly declared Jalen Hurts the king of the league after the Philadelphia Eagles’ massive win vs. the New York Giants last year, albeit it was Pat who secured the title in the end. Chiefs outlast Jets in a thrilling win
The Chiefs secured a narrow victory over the Jets in one of the most highly awaited games in week 4 of the regular season. Despite starting with a 17-0 lead, Kansas City lost momentum in the second quarter.
