Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley, two basketball legends with illustrious careers, formed a great rivalry on the court during their playing days and later developed a strong friendship. As former professional players, they bring extensive knowledge of the sport to their roles as television analyst.
Known for their insightful game analyses, the duo, famous for their banter and teasing on air, recently engaged in some playful banter on Instagram, with Shaq teasing Chuck and even bringing Kim Kardashian into the conversation.

Kim Kardashian is one of the most popular personalities in the world and recently she was featured on the cover of the Paper magazine. Kim K was seen donning a black gown and had an iconic pose where a champagne poured into a glass placed on her back. Shaquille O’Neal found this amusing and used Kim’s cover picture to tease Charles Barkley.
Big Shaq uploaded a picture on his Instagram where he photoshopped the Paper magazine cover and removed Kim K from it. He added Barkley onto the cover with a hilarious pose topless and donning the same on the bottom. The fans had a great laugh and loved the tease in the comments section of the post. This however is normal for Shaq and Chuck as they both find opportunities to tease each other and have some fun.
Shaq and Chuck deliver side-splitting banter during All-Star Draft
A fine example of a great and mischievous friendship between Shaquille O’Neal and Barkley would be their banter during the 2023 NBA All-Stars draft in Utah. Shaq had called out Barkley for being drunk at the event during LeBron James’ selection of All-Stars reserves on the TNT broadcast before of the 2023 All-Star game.
Barkley said, “There are no bad picks today, all these guys are great.” However, his voice was slow and it sounded like he was purposely dragging out his words. Shaq immediately noticed it and called him out, he said, “It sounds like you are drunk. You alright?” Chuck insisted that it was the mic as it had a delay but Shaq persisted that he was drunk and even mocked him but imitating him.
