Shaquille O’Neal denounces Jake Paul’s satisfaction with possible victory over Mike Tyson, drops bold prediction

The Paul brothers, Logan and Jake, sure know how to turn heads around the world. The duo have come a long way from their YouTuber careers and jumped into the world of pro wrestling and boxing, respectively.

While Logan is taking his Prime energy drink brand to new heights, Jake is focused on proving himself as a valiant boxer. This led to the announcement of the internet-breaking fight with boxing legend Mike Tyson. Just like the fans on social media, the ever-opinionated NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal did not shy away from participating in the buzz.

Shaquille O’Neal shares candid thoughts on Paul vs Tyson bout

Shaquille O’Neal recently spoke up about the highly anticipated boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. Talking on “The Big Podcast,” the 4-time NBA champion said, “If you’re Jake Paul, do you feel good about beating a 57-year-old Mike Tyson?” Shaq also mentioned the term “father time,” implying that age catches up with everyone or he would have still been out there dominating the court like in his heydays.

While questioning Jake Paul’s morality just like many others after the shocking announcement, the Big Diesel did not look as excited about the fight as his co-hosts. Shaq was mostly concerned about the 57-year-old Mike Tyson’s health but did not forget to provide a prediction for the bout.

Shaquille O’Neal predicts Mike Tyson to KO Jake Paul

Despite showing concern for the veteran boxer, Shaquille O’Neal favored the legend to upset the young horse, Jake Paul. Shaq believes when the fight takes center stage on July 20, Tyson will knock Jake out.

“I know he can; of course he can,” said the 7’1″ with the utmost confidence in the old fox Tyson. When his co-host asked “you were training for something, I know that you would take no prisoner. Do we think we are going to get Tyson to knock him out?” Shaq replied, “I know we are”.

Shaquille O’Neal himself is no stranger to combat sports. He took on former boxer Oscar De La Hoya in an exhibition match in 2009 but came just short of his targetted win. Shaq also appeared in multiple pro-wrestling shows with WWE and AEW, so the big Aristotle knows what it takes to hang with the big boys outside his sports.

To date, Jake Paul has boxed eight matches and won seven of them including one over former NBA player Nate Robinson. On the other hand, Tyson is 50-6 in his professional career and is highly motivated about the upcoming bout, posting training footage frequently since the fight announcement.

With all said and done the NBA fraternity can be sure that if there’s a bet on Mike Tyson against Jake Paul, the bet will certainly be of Shaquille O’Neal.
