Sheamus responds to Drew McIntyre’s burger jibe in hilarious fashion

On the 4/22 episode of WWE RAW, Sheamus confronted his long-time friend Drew McIntyre to put some sense in the Scotsman. That did not go according to plan though, as McIntyre continued his mean steak on the mic and called out Sheamus over his current physique.

While Sheamus reacted to Drew McIntyre’s trolling with a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), he took that to another level with his latest post on the social media platform. Sheamus posted a GIF with a caption that read, “When i win KOTR for a 2nd time, i want to be called…” The GIF in question was of the “Burger King” which prompted hilarious reactions from the WWE Universe.

Sheamus was out of action since his match against Edge in August last year, up until this month. When he returned due to an early call-up on the night after WrestleMania 40 on WWE RAW, he looked out of shape, making him a target of mean comments online. With his latest post, he has confirmed his into the 2024 King Of The Ring tournament which will culminate at “King and Queen of the Ring” PLE next month in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Talking of the King Of The Ring (KOTR) tournament, it will be worth refreshing the memories of Sheamus’ previous KOTR tournament win back in 2010.

Looking back on Sheamus’ 2010 KOTR win

After a three-year absence, the KOTR tournament is finally making a return. The last tournament was held back in 2021 when Xavier Woods won the crown. In 2010, it was Sheamus when he became the 19th KOTR winner (20th in sequence as Bret Hart won it twice).

In the qualifying round, Sheamus beat R-Truth in a hard-fought match before beating Kofi Kingston from SmackDown in the quarter-finals. As both Drew McIntyre and Ezekiel Jackson were counted out, the Celtic Warrior got a bye in the Semis. On the November 29 episode of RAW, Sheamus beat John Morrison to claim the right to be called the King Of The Ring.

Sheamus joins Gunther, Drew McIntyre, and Xavier Woods, who have already declared their entries for this year’s edition. If the Irishman wins the tournament, he will join the legendary Bret “The Hitman” Hart in an exclusive list of 2-time winners of the competition.
