Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to make Mbappe rather than buying
Manchester United fans are expecting the club to make big changes, and many thought there could be a chance to bring Kylian Mbappe to the team. However, new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has responded negatively to that.
Instead, he has promised to find a new generational player similar to Mbappe. He said, “Mbappe to Man United? I’d try to find the next Mbappe rather than spend a fortune trying to buy success. It’s not that clever to sign Mbappe now, it’s more challenging to find the next Mbappe, next Bellingham or next Roy Keane.”

And Sir Jim is staying true to his words, as it is being reported that he wants to bring in a top talent from Portugal named Joao Neves. His transfer strategy is going to prioritize signing young, talented players who will grow to be the best eventually.
However, a player like Kylian Mbappe comes once in a while, and fans will be gutted to miss out on a chance to get him. He has been sensational this season alone, scoring 38 goals for his club and is tied for the most goals across Europe with Bayern Munich star Harry Kane.
Kylian Mbappe’s Real Madrid move to profit Manchester Utd
Manchester United never really had any chance to even sign Kylian Mbappe, as he was always linked to going to Real Madrid. The deal is almost confirmed, though an official announcement is a long way off.
Mbappe going to Madrid may have an advantage for United in a way. The French national team captain plays in the same role as Vinicius Jr., and it looks like the Spanish club would make the Brazilians their sacrifice. They are willing to sell him, especially after reports came out that President Florentino Perez is tired of the player receiving constant yellow cards.
United are said to be interested in Vinicius and are readying a €200 million transfer package for the player to join them. There is no clear indication of whether Madrid are ready to sacrifice Vinicius yet or wait a few more seasons.
