Six-time pro bowler hails Jimmy Garoppolo’s unique quality, rates him above Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr

With a 1-3 mark till week 4, the Las Vegas Raiders have already been predicted to be out of the playoff run. However, the return of their franchise quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has brought luck to the team as they picked up their second victory in the season by beating the Green Bay Packers on Monday.

Though they clinched victory over the Packers in week 5, the 17-13 win would not benefit them much in the playoff run. On top of that, at 2-3 in the AFC West, the Las Vegas Raiders are sitting at the third spot. However, keeping aside all these equations, one of the Raiders stars has recently raised the eyebrows of the NFL netizens by ignoring his former quarterbacks to uplift Jimmy.

Davante Adams picks Jimmy Garoppolo as the most accountable QB

During an interview with Dan Graziano of ESPN, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams said Garoppolo had been an easy person to get along with while raving about him for taking accountability for his performance.

“Jimmy’s an easy guy to work with because he’s one of the best that I’ve been around at any position, let alone quarterback, of taking accountability.”

The wide receiver has also been a former teammate of Derek Carr and Aaron Rodgers, and hence, his praise for the Raiders QB might seem to be an indirect jab toward the former two signal-callers. However, he revealed the praise for Jimmy has nothing to do with A-Rod and Carr.

Nevertheless, the six-time Pro Bowler picked a point as to why his current dual threat stands out in the crowd saying the QB1 never pretends like he knows everything, instead, he takes other’s suggestions into action. This is the reason Adams can connect with him more than his former teammates.

“Not taking anything away from Derek [Carr] or Aaron [Rodgers], but Jimmy does a good job of not coming in acting like he knows everything. He’s open to suggestions and me talking through ways that I’ve done in the past.”

Dvante Adams was questionable to return in the match against the Packers, and fans were heavy-hearted thinking of the potential chance of missing a showdown between him and his former team. Instead, he played and successfully took revenge by beating the Packers.

Garoppolo returns as Raiders QB for clash vs Packers

Garoppolo earlier cleared his concussion protocol to suit up at home against Jordan Love’s squad. Upon returning to the field, the signal-caller left no stone unturned to bounce back from the earlier form, and the effort eventually resulted in success following the Raiders’ 4-point victory. He led the Raiders on a 10-play, 75-yard drive in the fourth quarter to ensure a game-winning score against the Green Bay Packers.

The Raiders offense couldn’t do a good job, finishing with only 279 yards of total offense to the Packers 285. Their QB1 completed 22 of 31 passes for 208 yards along with a touchdown and threw his league-high seventh interception while Dvante Adams recorded four receptions for 45 yards. However, the team’s defense was definitely praiseworthy, especially Maxx Crosby, who did a tremendous job on that side of the ball on the way to ending their losing streak.
