Kim Kardashian has humorously referred to herself as a ‘soccer mom’ after meeting Erling Haaland. However, she created a bit of a stir when she seemingly confused Cristiano Ronaldo for Lionel Messi.
The renowned model and TV personality had an encounter with Erling Haaland at a Dolce & Gabbana event over the summer, as both are ambassadors for the brand. In a recent interview with GQ Sports, Kim Kardashian shared that her son, Saint, is an avid Haaland fan, playfully labeling herself as a ‘soccer mom.’
Kim said, “I was in Italy and I see Erling Haaland, and I freaked the f*** out because I know my son would be so excited, it’s like his thing.
“So, I’m like such a loser FaceTiming at this event being like, ‘Saint, you’ll never guess who I ran into.’ I’m FaceTiming him and I’m like, ‘I’ve turned into this person that… it’s… I’m sorry.'”
Haaland heading towards another record
The Athletic reported that Erling Haaland is swiftly approaching an international record that has remained unbroken since 1934.
Erling Haaland is merely six goals away from securing Norway’s goalscoring record, making it inevitable that he will soon become his nation’s most prolific striker. This achievement is noteworthy for its quick realization, considering Haaland scored his first goals for Norway in 2020. However, from another perspective, it has been a long time coming.
Among the 213 FIFA-affiliated nations, Norway holds the world’s longest-standing outright individual goalscoring record. This record was established by Jorgen Juve, an outstanding football icon who concluded his international career in 1937 and later gained recognition as a prominent sports journalist in his homeland.
Juve achieved a relatively modest total of 33 goals in 45 matches for Norway, featuring five hat-tricks. Notably, his goal tally is made even more remarkable by the fact that he played as a center-forward in less than half of those games. It is anticipated that when Erling Haaland scores the six additional goals needed to break the record, it will have been approximately 90 years since Jorgen Juve reached the 33-goal mark.
