Sofyan Amrabat injury update: reviewing the Manchester United star’s condition

Manchester United’s injury crisis continues to plague their season, with many key players out due to various types of issues. Already, the Red Devils have had one of their worst starts to a season, being just 10th in the Premier League and last in their Champions League group.

A key issue for the team and manager has been the large number of injuries. And now Fiorentina loanee Sofyan Amrabat has been injured again, leaving another dent in Erik Ten Hag’s team. It seems the club’s difficult season is about to worsen.

Sofyan Amrabat reportedly out of Morocco squad

Amrabat has reportedly left the Moroccan squad already due to sustaining another injury. According to Moroccan news outlet Al Ayam, the United midfielder suffered a yet-to-be identified injury. He also missed the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match between Morocco and Liberia, which his nation won.

He was previously left out of the squad for a friendly against Ivory Coast on Saturday. But he could not recover in time, causing concern among all involved.

It is not the first time he has been injured this season, with the midfielder also missing the international games last month. In fact, The Athletic reports that the Moroccan has an issue with his back, which was found out during his medical.

Amrabat had joined the club for a loan deal this season, which has an option for a buy clause. Since then, he has only played five matches with the club, missing many more due to injury. He has also been made to play at left back due to the club’s other injury problems.

United’s injury situation causing trouble for Erik Ten Hag

There is currently a huge injury crisis at Manchester United, affecting the team very much. Even though they just began their season, they already have a huge amount of injuries, with 16 players having been sidelined for many key games. This has not helped the manager, Erik Ten Hag, who cannot pick his ideal team.

The list of currently injured players includes Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Sergio Reguilon, Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Amad Diallo, and now Sofyan Amrabat. All of these players would be out for quite some time, blowing a dent in the United squad. Due to their absence, the secondary players have to play and are often not suited to the manager’s purpose.

This issue has also seen new signings such as Rasmus Hojlund, Mason Mount, Sergio Reguilon, and even Sofyan Amrabat. And now, the club has decided to look into this issue, launching an investigation into the cause of the injuries, searching for any patterns that may help determine why there are so many players suffering from it.

Manchester United will next face Sheffield United on October 21, with Erik Ten Hag surely hoping Sofyan Amrabat comes back by then.
