Stephen A. Smith goes on furious rant on Steelers ‘trash’ offense after loss to Patriots, doubting playoff possibility

The Pittsburgh Steelers this year have not been in the best of form. They have lost numerous games on the trot, and confidence seems to be at an all-time low. Even when they have put up good performances, the team has always come up short when it matters most.

Now that they are almost out of playoff contention, analysts and critics are bashing the side because of their lackluster display throughout the season. Stephen A. Smith, the celebrity NFL analyst, has some choice words for the team.

Stephen A. Smith blasts Steelers offense

After the shocking defeat against the already faltering New England Patriots, Stephen A. Smith blasted into a full-blown rant, tearing apart each and every player of the Steelers team. He said that each of their performances for a while have been abysmal, and this is not how a team in the NFL should be performing.

“I’m done with them this season. They’re horrible,” said Smith. “They’re so horrible defensively that they’re offensive.” Both sides in this game had a record of being bad offensively. However, the Pittsburgh Steelers won that battle, as the game ended 21-18 in favor of the Patriots.

Netizens were quick to jump on the bandwagon of operation Steelers, with one user commenting, “Pittsburgh burned 2 timeouts too early in the 2nd half, and the last play call was idiotic. That goes to the coach.”

Another quipped, “He is exactly right. The defense was on the field entirely too much. They are worn down. I can’t blame them; they play hard. Now they’re all hurt. Too many 3 and outs. Tomlin should not have hired Canada in the first place. Then he held on to him too long. This season, he should’ve been gone before the bye. I would’ve brought someone else in. Too many mistakes by Tomlin. But that’s what he does. He has his way he sticks to it. He doesnt adapt. But he doesn’t have the vet squad he had.”

Steelers suffer back-to-back losses

The Steelers’ shocking run of form still continues as the team got handed their second defeat in a row at the hands of the New England Patriots. Mike Tomlin’s men were not in the best of form as of late, but losing against a weakened opposition in the form of the Patriots was a new low.

The NFL community is already calling for Tomlin’s head. However, it looks like the Steelers front office would like to stick with him for a longer period.
