Curry recently made history in the NBA after establishing a remarkable three-point streak. However, the stellar performances of Curry haven’t been enough to save the Warriors this season as they continue to struggle in the league.
Setting a new record: Curry’s unprecedented feat
The Golden State Warriors faced the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday and Warriors’ ace Stephen Curry was rolling the dice. He set an NBA record in the match, becoming the first player in the league’s history to score at least 7 three-pointers in four consecutive games. Curry scored 41 points in the game and had a 47% shooting percentage from the deep. The Warriors still lost the match against the Clippers with a final score of 130-125, despite Stephen Curry’s record.
Steph has been known for his shooting prowess ever since he had his breakout season. He has demonstrated great leadership abilities and has carried his team to multiple championship runs in the past. Curry was also named as an equal contender for the GOAT title alongside Michael Jordan and LeBron James by NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal.
Warriors struggle despite Curry’s brilliance
However, despite Stephen Curry’s record and great performances in recent games, he has not been able to save his team from eminent failures this season. The Warriors have been struggling and have been a shadow of their former selves. They have not been able to show the same dominance they had shown in previous seasons and have been rumored to make some moves to refresh the squad.
Only the youngster Jonathan Kuminga who had a great performance against the Bulls was able to keep up with Curry. Even the core players like Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have been ineffective. Thompson has not been able to get back his old form while Green has spent most of his time this season suspended for his violent outbursts in matches.
The Warriors currently have a 26-26 record and the trade rumors have surrounded the players. There was a rumor that everyone on the squad was on the table except Stephen Curry however, the head coach of the Dubs Steve Kerr came forward and denied those rumors taking the side of his players.
