Sabrina Ionescu hails Stephen Curry as role model
The New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu named Stephen Curry as his role model as the event ended. She expressed her admiration for the Warriors guard who recently made NBA history. “Obviously, being from the Bay Area and just as a young kid who wanted to be like him and was able to watch him at games. Get to know who he is as a person off the court and who he is on the court as well. Being able to have a role model like him from a very young age has shaped who I am,” said Sabrina.
She continued, “He has influenced the player I am today. I just emulated everything that he stands for. I understood that I was out here shooting for that young little girl that is at every single game knowing that I couldn’t believe an opportunity as big as this. Being able to go up against my role model and what he has meant to me and my career.” Sabrina let her inner Steph Curry fanboy out when she got the opportunity to do so and all the people in the community loved her words.
