The Golden State Warriors find themselves in a challenging position, grappling with a losing streak and the potential absence of their key player, Stephen Curry.
Recent matches have witnessed some of their poorest performances, with a notable 36-point loss to the New Orleans Pelicans adding to their struggles. Adding more salt to the wound, they lost their recent matchup against Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Bucks.
Is Stephen Curry injured?
Warriors’ star Stephen Curry was absent from the recent match against the Bucks, fueling speculation about a possible injury. Despite rumors, the team has not officially confirmed any injury, and it appears that Curry might have been rested for the match.
Stephen Curry has been working tirelessly for his team ever since the start of the season and even the head coach of the Dubs, Steve Kerr has accepted that Curry has been forced to carry the Warriors single-handedly this season.
The game against the Bucks was just the third game missed for him this season and the Warriors most probably were just resting him to reduce some of the load he has been carrying.
Warriors make Curry unavailable for trade
The Warriors have to figure out what is going wrong in their squad as there is a high possibility that if things remain as it is they won’t be making it to the playoffs this season.
After the humiliating loss against the Pelicans, the NBA trade rumors suggest that the Warriors are up for a rebuilding phase and everyone except franchise’s ace Stephen Curry is on the table for a trade.
The Dubs acquired Jonathan Kuminga from a trade during the fall season last year and the youngster recently proved his worth coming off the bench in the game against the Bulls. A similar trade strategy might be put into action by the management of the Warriors to refresh the squad.
The rumors have also revealed that Chris Paul who has just been on the team for six months is in a situation to get traded. Whether there will be some trades or not is a thing we will know only with time but Stephen Curry is not going anywhere.
Do you think Stephen Curry is nursing an injury? Who do you think should get traded from the current Warriors squad? We are eager to know your thoughts, so drop down in the comments and let us know.
