Taylor Swift gives the host of the Golden Globes a death stare After he makes a jokes about her NFL limelight: “truth hurts”

When you’ve attained Hollywood stardom, very few things remain with the power to irk you. Having the limelight and being around cameras all the time tends to have a numbing effect on almost all of the stars, resulting in them losing touch with reality. However, in the case of Taylor Swift, she was very much in the moment during the Golden Globes ceremony.

It was a night of glitz and glam for the global pop sensation that quickly turned ugly with just one joke from the host. And judging by the look she gave after, it is safe to say that the desperate attempt at humor hasn’t gone down too well with her.

Taylor Swift didn’t like Golden Globes host’s NFL limelight joke

This year’s Golden Globes ceremony was hosted by none other than the very funny Asian-American comedian Jo Koy. However, even he wasn’t able to stick the landing on one of the jokes about the newfound romance of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Referencing the pop star’s regular appearances at NFL games, Koy said, “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL? At the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift.” The camera quickly shifted to Taylor Swift, who had no intention to slip a smile but instead gave a deadpan expression and took a swig of her drink: a clear indication that she wasn’t a fan.

As the video of this fiasco made the rounds of social media, Swifties quickly picked sides and unleashed a barrage of abuses on Jo Koy and the writing team of the award ceremony. One comment read, “This was a failed attempt. Who wrote that…you’re fired.” while another quipped, “Decent joke. Terrible comedian and delivery. Picture Norm doing that joke. He’d keep restating the punchline differently until the audience was howling lol.”

Taylor Swift appeared to skip Chiefs-Chargers game with Travis Kelce out

It was the last game of the regular season for the Kansas City Chiefs as they took on the lackluster Los Angeles Chargers. With the playoff spot already secured, head coach Andy Reid didn’t want to field any of his star players and instead gave an opportunity to some of the fringe players.

In the process, star TE Travis Kelce missed out on the opportunity of his eighth consecutive season of at least 1000 receiving yards. However, he wouldn’t mind missing a dead rubber game, especially when his beloved Taylor Swift wasn’t in attendance even after a lot of speculation regarding the same.
