However, Scott Swift, father of the “Love Story” singer, has apparently been causing trouble by assaulting a photographer. One photographer accused Scott of assaulting him late in the night as Taylor Swift’s entourage was stepping down from a yacht ride.
According to 9News Sydney, the cops have now started to look into the matter, as the photographer has agreed to press charges. If Scott Swift is found guilty, it could mean the start of a host of new troubles for Taylor Swift and could also result in her missing a few concerts scheduled at a later date.
Taylor Swift spokesman responds to Scott’s assault allegation
In a desperate attempt to damage control, Taylor Swift‘s spokesperson has now come out and released a statement proving her father’s innocence in the entire issue. The statement reads, “Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.”

After this news broke out, millions of Swifties on Twitter also started to vouch for Scott’s innocence. One user echoed the sentiment by saying, “Scott is a 71-year-old man who protected his daughter from paparazzi. That’s a great father man. Taylor’s fame has skyrocketed and she was already famous af. He is fully aware of the danger she’s in. If he reacted in any way it was to protect his daughter,” while another quipped, “he did nothing wrong.”
