Tennis icon Novak Djokovic finds solace on family holiday in Croatia following heartbreaking Wimbledon final loss

Novak Djokovic had been on a meteoric streak of winning and dominating the field of tennis. The 36-year-old Serbian had dominated opponent after opponent, tournament after tournament on an epic conquest of Grand Slams. However, it wasn’t an easy journey, as huge hurdles have blocked his path ever so often.

Currently, with 23 Grand Slam titles, he holds the record for the most number of Grand Slam men’s singles titles in the Open Era. Nole was waltzing through the Wimbledon draw in hopes of winning his 8th Wimbledon title and 24th Grand Slam, but young Carlos Alcaraz had his own plans. The 20-year-old Spaniard, who rose to world No. 1 at such a young age, tasted his first Wimbledon title by coming on top of Djokovic in a spectacular manner in the final.

The finals at SW19 took the players on an extremely emotional journey. Djokovic especially had a great deal on the line. After the loss, he saw his kids still smiling and said: “It is nice to see my sons still there, still smiling”. The kids continued to smile and clap for their father and this left the champ tearing up.

“I love you. Thank you for supporting me and I will give you a big hug and we can all love each other,” added Nole.

After the tear-jerking finals, Novak Djokovic was found on a fun family vacation. Just a week after the Wimbledon final, it is heartwarming to see the family spend some fun, quality time together at the Adriatic Sea.

The Serbinator family is seen to be running, goofing around, and enjoying their time at the sea together. Nole even considerably took time out of his family vacation to click pictures with his fans.

Such precious family time is probably the best healing and rejuvenation for Djokovic. Given that Novak Djokovic is known for his strong comebacks and he seems to be no were closer to retirement, he will be back at it stronger than ever.

The Wimbledon final was a dream come true for Carlos Alcaraz. The 20-year-old world number 1 had been determined to make his chances to take the win and he did. However, for Novak Djokovic, it was more than that.

The Centre Court had been Novak’s territory for the past decade. He hadn’t lost one match on that court and was on a consecutive 34 matches winning streak at the All-England Club. After the almost 5 hours battle, all of these came to an end and Carlos Alcaraz took home his 2nd Grand Slam ever.
