Tennis legend Andre Agassi teases Novak Djokovic in a lighthearted Grand Slam bet

American legend Andre Agassi once said that he began his career in diapers and ended it at 36. The 53-year-old star, during his time on the court, won eight Grand Slam major titles, six ATP Masters 1000 titles, and an Olympic gold medal, including being a runner-up in seven other majors. Agassi is widely considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time.

However, before retirement, Agassi met the love of his life, 22-time Grand Slam Steffi Graf, in 1997 and he divorced his wife Brooke Shield in 1999 to marry Steffi in 2001.   

Agassi’s hilarious challenge to Djokovic

In 2017, while Novak Djokovic was having a hard time with injuries, Andre Agassi coached the Serbian for free and the two bounded well there. Agassi in a show joked about how he could acquire some of his wife’s (Steffi Graf) titles through their marriage. He also added Novak Djokovic in the hilarious discussion, saying he would have more Grand Slam that the Serbian.

Andre Agassi and Steffi Graff have been married since2001, and are blessed with two children and have always been seen together in tennis events. Recently, the eight-time Grand Slam winner and American tennis player appeared on the Pat McAfee Show, he shared his take on being a proud father, but with a joke.

He said, “Let’s be on the record, if she ever leaves me, I get half her Slams, right? that must be around 29, so I think Novak has a long way to go.”  Novak Djokovic, who won his 24th Grand Slam in New York in September, broke another record a few days ago after winning the Rolex Paris Masters for the 7th time.

Meanwhile, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf having been seen playing pickleball together and they recently announced that they are ready to participate in the Pickleball Slam 2. Agassi also admitted that he and his wife love the game but things can get a little twisty sometimes while playing with his wife.

He said, “I have been playing it with my wife too, which, by the way, can either add a great deal to your relationship or it can ruin it. So you gotta be careful with that one.” While he was quite excited to play the upcoming pickleball slam with his wife, Andre Agassi also shared some relationship advice with a humorous take regarding how to save someone’s relationship.

How many Grand Slam has Andre Agassi wife Steffi Graf Won?

Andre Agassi’s wife Steffi Graf is one of the most celebrated German former professional tennis players.  During her time on the court she won 22 Grand Slam titles, the second-most in women’s singles won since the start of the Open Era in 1968 and the third-most of all-time behind Serena Williams.

Steffi Graf first Grand Slam title came in the 1987 French Open, where she defeated the world no. 1 at the time Martina Navratilova. The victory sprang up the one of the greatest rivalry in women. That same year, Navratilova defeated Graf in the finals of both Wimbledon and U.S Open to go ahead in the series.

The couple married in October days before Graf was due to give birth to their first child in October 2001. followed by their daughter, Jaz Elle Agassi, on Oct. 3, 2003.
