Ever since Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio showed up on NXT, each of them has been feuding with two specific superstars. Now, it’s being reported that the power couple of the Judgement Day are all set to face off against Dragon Lee and Lyra Valkyria at NXT Heatwave Special.
While some may think that this would be Ripley and Mysterio’s first match together, that is not the case. The two had actually joined forces before, to face LWO on both RAW and SmackDown. This would actually be their third match together, as Rhea Ripley confirmed on Twitter. The two Judgement Day members make a formidable duo, as they now look forward to beating their new rivals together.

After they arrived at NXT, Rhea Ripley praised Lyra Valkyria and said that she definitely had potential. This led to Valkyria challenging Ripley to a match, which the Eradicator of Judgement Day ended of winning. Despite her loss, Valkyria gained the respect of Rhea Ripley. On the other hand, after defeating Wes Lee for the NXT North American Championship, Dominik Mysterio defended his title against Dragon Lee. Mysterio ended up winning the match, after some help from Ripley.

After the match, Lyra Valkyria showed up to help Dragon Lee fend off the Judgement Day members. On NXT this week, Ripley warned Lee and Valkyria about disrespecting them.
Afterwards, we see Mysterio and Ripley backstage, where they challenge Lee and Valkyria to a mixed tag team match on NXT Heatwave next week. They agreed and the match was made official. Later that night, Dragon Lee met Lyra Valkyria backstage, where he said that in order to stand a chance against their rivals, they should learn more about each other.

Although Ripley and Mysterio play an on-screen couple in WWE, they are actually not in a relationship in real life. Ripley has confirmed that they are simply good friends in real life, and she’s currently engaged to AEW star Buddy Matthews. Even though they are not an actual couple, it can’t be denied that the two share a really special bond.
Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio got together shortly after Clash at the Castle in 2022, when Mysterio betrayed his own father, Rey Mysterio, and Edge in a shocking fashion. He then proceeded to join their rivals, the Judgement Day, consisting of Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley.
He and Rhea soon started “dating” and through various flirtatious segments, affectionate social media posts and her calling Mysterio “Dom Dom” and calling herself his “Mami”, they soon convinced the WWE Universe of their relationship. Many people even thought that they were dating in real life.
