The Rock declares to make sure Cody Rhodes’ defeated at WrestleMania 40 sparks outrage: “That was weak AF”

The Rock, the Hollywood megastar and a board member of the TKO Group, delivered a fiery promo in today’s SmackDown episode. Reviving his heel persona, ‘Hollywood Rock,’ he criticized WWE fans for supporting The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes.

After the show went off the air, WWE fans expressed their hatred for The Rock due to his statement regarding Rhodes, mentioning that he will not conclude the story against Roman Reigns at the main event of WrestleMania 40.

The Rock issues stern warning to Cody Rhodes

The Rock’s return to SmackDown was electrifying, but also controversial. He shocked the fans with his heel turn, and gave a potential warning to Cody Rhodes. Rock who became the official member in board of directors of TKO, said, “The Rock is going to do everything in his power to make sure you walk out of #WrestleMania what you are, a loser.” The Rock stated that he respects Rhodes as a performer, but he believes Rhodes crossed the line by disrespecting his bloodline.

The Rock made it clear that he does not respect Cody and will do everything in his power to prevent The American Nightmare from becoming the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion. He also mentioned that Rhodes does not deserve a rematch at WrestleMania 40 to finish his story that began last year.

The Rock’s rage came after a huge drama that happened at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press event in Las Vegas last week. During the press event, Rhodes interrupted Reigns’ speech and challenged him for the title and The Rock, who was present along side with The Tribal Chief, took offense to Rhodes’ words and slapped him across the face, sparking a brawl.

Fans unhappy with The Rock’s SmackDown promo

The WWE Universe was stunned when The Rock returned to SmackDown tonight and aligned himself with his cousin, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Upon appearing, he delivered a lengthy promo, criticizing the WWE fans in the arena and Cody Rhodes.

After the show, fans took to social media to express their disappointment in Rock’s promo. WWE fans made it clear that The Rock’s heel turn didn’t meet their expectations. They said that even for the Rock, who has the ability to cut extraordinary promos, getting back into the heel character after a long hiatus will take time.

Fans also said that today’s promo was not upto the mark and the WWE should allow the storyline to develop and give The Rock time to find his rhythm as a heel again.
