The Rock said his goodbye last week on WWE Raw but made sure to let everyone know that he will be back for Cody Rhodes. After the toil of WrestleMania 40 night 1 and 2, it has been a week, but still, the Rock feels the toll it took on his 51-year-old body.
With a lot of questions surrounding his past, present and future in WWE, the Rock left a message on Instagram to address some of the queries. After thanking the WWE fans for making WrestleMania 40 the biggest WrestleMania of all time, the Rock opened up about his current health status. The “Final Boss” said that his body is still banged up due to the grueling 40-plus minute match on night 1 and the massive chokeslam received from the Undertaker on night 2.
Thankfully, the Rock did not pick up any injury at the showcase of the immortals and is spending his time recovering from all the inflammation caused by the action in the ring. The “Brahma Bull” also talked about how he prepared for WM 40.
The Rock revealed that he had a 12-week training camp leading to WrestleMania and had three separate rings set up in Hawaii, Southern California and Georgia. The Hollywood star also said that he is working out to recover and will be returning in the future.
With all that, he left a message for Cody Rhodes saying, “I’ll make you bleed boy” when he returns. Cody Rhodes finally finished his story at WM 40 at the expense of Roman Reigns who also received a shout-out for his dominant title reign over the past few years. The Rock also declared Seth Rollins the MVP of WrestleMania 40 who is reportedly taking a hiatus. But will the Rock be at WrestleMania 41? He definitively answered that too.
The Rock sets sights on next WrestleMania
After his detailed message to the fans, the Rock confirmed that his sights are set on WrestleMania 41. “And now my sights are set on the next WrestleMania. But that’s down the road,” said the TKO board member.
While the location of the next WrestleMania is still unknown, one of the participants for the event has been confirmed, and it is safe to say that the WWE Universe will wait eagerly for the “People’s Champ” to return with his electrifying presence to make wrestling cool again.
