With WrestleMania XL about to rock Lincoln Financial Field this coming weekend, the whole city of Philadelphia is on the edge of its seats. There are an abundance of entertainment options thanks to WWE and other promotions holding a variety of events. When Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson unexpectedly showed up at WWE World on Thursday, he added to the excitement by making fun of a football team.
Brahma Bull is known for being a bad guy in wrestling right now, and he loves to poke fun at towns, which makes the crowd boo. His heel persona isn’t limited to the wrestling community; he recently mocked the NFL’s Eagles for failing to make the playoffs.
The Rock teases Philadelphia crowd with Jalen Hurts joke
This past week, former WWE champion The Rock responded to the criticism he received for being late to the 40-week festivities of WWE WrestleMania. There is a great deal of importance attached to his attendance during the week of WrestleMania. There were a few boos when he eventually hit the stage at Thursday’s WWE World event in Philadelphia since he arrived two hours late at 6 o’clock, instead of 4 pm.
In keeping with the lighthearted tone, The Rock couldn’t help but poke fun at the local football club and their sluggish playoff result. His quick wit made him interact with the crowd in a fun way. He first asked them why they were booing and then cleverly turned the talk to the Eagles’ playoff loss with Jalen hurts joke, which got the Philly crowd even more excited.
He said, “Are you booing because The Rock was supposed to be here at 4 o’clock, is that what you’re booing? He was watching YouTube, watching Jalen Hurts lose in the playoffs again.” Despite teasing Eagles supporters, his humorous approach was warmly embraced during the press conference.
He may play the villain in WWE, but fans still like him. Recently, he surprised a WWE fan with a once-in-a-lifetime offer after seeing their WrestleMania-themed tattoo.
The Rock offers lifelong fan WM 40 tickets
The Rock’s regular TV appearances and service on the TKO board began in January. Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed Universal Championship on the second night in Philadelphia against Cody Rhodes, and he has been heavily engaged in the event’s buildup.
The Rock recently had an unusual encounter with a fan named Ruben Rodriguez, who wanted him to autograph his arm. Now, he went one step further and had The Rock’s autograph permanently inked on his arm. Rodriguez was thrilled about his meeting and wrote about it on social media, expressing how much he admired his childhood hero.
The Rock was amazed by Rodriguez’s drive after seeing his post and promised him something special. To ensure Ruben and his daughter had a wonderful time at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, the Brahma Bull offered to provide them with tickets and all expenses covered by The Rock himself.
