Shaun Ricker, also known as LA Knight, is one of the fastest-rising superstars in WWE. In 2013, the superstar hosted a reality TV series competition in which 10 contestants competed against each other to prove who was the best among them and deserved to win. The official synopsis of the show read, “Competition pits 10 housemates against one another in missions that will test their brains, their brawn, and even their morality”.
Shaun Ricker/LA Knight was among the participants and although he did not win, he still left a good impression on The Rock. Knight was the first to get eliminated and following that, The Rock tweeted about Ricker’s journey and predicted he would one day enter WWE and entertain the fans worldwide.
On January 4, 2024, Johnson’s old tweet started resurfacing on the internet after the caption “Megastars see megastars” went viral among wrestling fans. The fans are amazed at how “Brahma Bull” predicted something 10 years before it even happened.

LA Knight’s rise to fame was rapid and it is undeniable that he deserves every success that he has today. The Rock has always been connected with WWE, even after leaving the company in 2004. During the WWE Smackdown event in Denver at the Ball Arena in 2023, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made a surprise appearance for fans and LA Knight got to have a reunion with the superstar.
Knight later described that meeting in an interview, saying, “I mean, just a quick kind of, you know, bro hug and ‘Hey, man, how you’ve been? You’re doing great awesome!’ You know, all that kind of stuff. But at least it was a quick little ‘good to see again'”.
Shaun Ricker is a great wrestler and some credit for his success goes to The Rock. The 51-year-old superstar played a pivotal role in LA Knight’s career in WWE. The superstar was the first person who suggested Knight try for the company, as he could see something that Knight did not see in himself at that time, and now the rest is history.
