The Milwaukee Bucks’ sluggish beginning to the 2023-2024 season continues to raise concerns and spark discussions among their fans and analysts. Last season, the Bucks had a strong start with five consecutive wins in the regular season, but this season has left them puzzled by the game results so far.
Damian Lillard’s arrival from the Blazers brought excitement to the Bucks’ camp, as fans hoped for a successful partnership with Giannis. However, their performance in last night’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors has fans expressing serious concerns about their poor start to the season.
NBA fans react angrily to Bucks defensive woes
The Milwaukee Bucks have only won 2 out of 4 games so far in the season. The Bucks recently lost against the Toronto Raptors with a disappointing scoreline of 111-130. In the wake of the continued poor results, the fans have developed serious doubts about the Bucks being a title contender, and highlighting the defense as a loophole.
Highlighting how bad the Bucks’ defense is, a fan posted on X saying, ” The Bucks have allowed 117, 127, 114 and 130 points in their 4 games…They have no defense, you can’t win a championship like this.”
Another fan shared poor Lillard’s defense skills with the caption, “Bucks defense has been bad all around but Dame is just dying on these screens.”
The Bucks’ defense issue has been a major point of discussion as the fans blame the franchise for trading Jrue Holiday to the Blazers who later joined the Boston Celtics, which turn to strengthen their roster. However, the loss of Jrue might be a blow to the Bucks’ defense, but the fans expect the franchise to find a lasting and reliable solution to get them to defend effectively.
Bucks suffer another lopsided loss to Raptors
The Milwaukee Bucks have suffered another defeat in their fourth game of the season against the Toronto Raptors. The Bucks who shared the game’s result on X with a score line 111-130, were 19 points short, with the super duo of Damian and Giannis having a poor combined point of 31, with 16 points for Giannis Antetokounmpo and 15 points for Damian, while off-season recruits Malik Beasley scored a better six three-pointers.
The Raptors stole the show with three players scoring over 20 points that night, led by Pascal Siakam with 26 points, Dennis Schroder with 24 points, and Scottie Barnes with 21 points. The Bucks, who previously lost to the Hawks by a margin of 17 points, need to address roster issues promptly to provide their fans with a successful campaign.
