Thierry Henry heaps praise on Jude Bellingham with pressure comparison in Spain and England

Jude Bellingham is enjoying the best possible start to his career at Real Madrid in his debut campaign with the Spanish giants. The midfield sensation tops the scoring chart for the club, ahead of the likes of Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo, while also leading the La Liga goal-scoring list.

Bellingham’s influence extends beyond just goal-scoring; the Englishman is thriving under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti, who is getting the best out of the generational talent with his tactical expertise. The latest to join the list of Jude’s admirers is Arsenal icon Thierry Henry.

Jude Bellingham earns Thierry Henry praise

Jude Bellingham has been remarkable in the colors of Los Blancos since his arrival last summer. He has become a commanding figure in the star-studded club’s lineup, outshining the majestic midfield duo of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric and cementing his place as an absolute starter since making a scoring debut appearance.

French icon and former Barcelona legend Thierry Henry has applauded the 20-year-old for his spell in Spain, emphasizing the amount of pressure he faces in La Liga and how courageously Bellingham has succeeded while wearing Zidane’s number five.

He said, “I will always say to people look, I had the opportunity to play in Italy, I played in France, I went to the US, played in Spain. Footballers are a bit easy in England, the pressure that you have to endure in Spain, this is what makes it even more special.”

Henry added, “You have a show every night about Real Madrid or Barcelona, papers have six to seven pages a night about Real Madrid, the pressure, the press, you know, the expectation when you take number five of Zidane,” on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show while discussing the stint of English players abroad.

Real Madrid to appeal further against Jude Bellingham ban

The former Dortmund star, Jude Bellingham, was recently sent off for showing his frustration towards La Liga referee Jesus Gil Manzano during his last league outing against Valencia. The English international lashed out at the official after Los Blancos were denied a last-gasp winner, subsequently receiving a straight red card after the full-time whistle.

A couple of appeals filed by Real Madrid to overturn Bellingham’s red card were rejected, sidelining him for the next two league fixtures against Celta Vigo and Osasuna.

Meanwhile, there’s some relief for Jude, as the charges against him for his alleged slur towards Mason Greenwood have been dropped due to a lack of evidence by the authorities, snubbing prolonged suspension scares.

However, the club has not given up on efforts to retain their midfielder for the Osasuna fixture, and reportedly, the hearing has been transferred to the Tribunal Administrativo del Deporte (TAD) in Spain.
