Anthony Edwards left the Timberwolves vs Kings game at halftime for personal reasons. The fans were worried a bit after not seeing Edwards come back on the court. There were speculations that he might be injured, however, the Kings’ broadcast soon announced that Edwards left to attend the birth of his child. It was a heartwarming reason for leaving the game and the fans were happy for him.
Before his exit, Edwards had contributed 11 points, two rebounds, and two assists. He was struggling to score in his time on the court and was not like his usual self. It was pretty evident that his thoughts were somewhere else during the game. Wolves guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker filled in for Edwards after he left. However, the Wolves were unable to seize victory from the Kings as they lost the game with a final score of 120-124 in overtime.
