Bully Ray applies for WWE corporate job
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray, also known as Bubba Ray Dudley, has recently revealed that he has applied for a vacant position in the WWE creative team. Ray is a former eight-time WWE Tag Team Champion and is currently signed with TNA as an in-ring performer.
The job listing for the position of writer/producer was posted on the official WWE Careers website and stated that the role requires an understanding of World Wrestling Entertainment and that the position is based out of the company headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.
The job listing went viral on social media, with many fans and wrestling personalities commenting on it. Ray tweeted that he had applied for the job, adding a fingers crossed and a smiling face emoji.
Ray is also the co-host of a famous podcast, Busted Open Radio, known for his outspoken opinions and critiques of the WWE product, where he analyzes the booking decisions and the creative direction of the company.
He has also expressed his interest in working behind the scenes in wrestling and has praised the work of Paul Heyman, the former boss of ECW, who is currently the on-screen advocate of Roman Reigns.
When did Bully Ray last appear on WWE?
Bully Ray is no stranger to the WWE, having worked for the company from 1999 to 2005 as part of the legendary tag team The Dudley Boyz, along with his partner D-Von Dudley.
They moved to WWE in 1999 as Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley and continued their dominance in the tag team division. They won the WWE Tag Team Championship once and the WCW World Tag Team Championship once, and they also held the WWE Hardcore Championship 10 times between them.
Their last appearance in WWE was on August 24, 2015, where they made a surprise appearance on a RAW episode after leaving WWE in 2005.
