AEW President Tony Khan was knocked out cold in the ring at the main event of Dynamite on April 24th due to an attack by The Elite and Jack Perry. Given how rare it is for a CEO to be assaulted in a wrestling ring, this event certainly made waves in the wrestling community. Following the incident, Khan’s father made his way to the ring for the first time with a seemingly tense face.
Jack Perry’s last act in last night’s AEW Dynamite featured a storyline with Tony Khan in the ring and the segment closed in a plot where The Elite had set up a brutal meeting between the two. After exchanging some cordial words, Perry slammed the microphone into Khan’s ribs. Adding drama to the unfolding chaos, The Young Bucks appeared from backstage and delivered their signature finishing move on Khan.
Following the incident, a large number of officials and wrestlers rushed to the ring to see how Khan was doing. Surprisingly, for the first time his father, Shahid Khan, also showed up with a sign of worry for his son. This event makes things more complicated within AEW and will set the stage for some interesting events if Tony’s father involves himself directly.
Wrestling experts had a great conversation about what happened after Shahid Khan showed up at the event. But one moment, they went so far as to make light of Shahid’s anxious response to his son’s situation.
Wrestling insiders make fun of Shahid Khan’s reaction
During the most recent AEW Dynamite, Shad Khan, who is generally in the background of the All Elite Wrestling company, made his very first appearance in the wrestling business. Sean Ross Sapp, Jon Alba, and Alex Pawlowski of Fightful did not waste any time getting into that event, including Shahid’s surprise entry.
They made wild guesses on Papa Khan’s thoughts, with Pawlowski humorously imagining Khan’s reaction to the world of professional wrestling: “What is all of this? What has my some been doing with all of the money I’ve given him?”
