There is no doubt about the fact that Josh Allen is as good as it gets for a quarterback in the league. His speed and agility were the main attributes that got him to the position he is in right now, as he looks to deliver wins for the Buffalo Bills.
However, the star WB looks to have gone off the boil in recent games as the Buffalo Bills slumped to yet another loss at the hands of the Denver Broncos on Monday night. Now with an abysmal record to their name, trolls are running rampant on the Bills and Josh Allen.
Fans mock Josh Allen after lackluster game
After yet another loss against the Broncos, the Buffalo Bills look to be in dire straights regarding their playoff concerns this season. While the dip in form cannot be attributed to just one person on the team, the NFL community still holds Allen responsible for most of it.
Netizens have rained down an unending barrage of abuses and troll-worthy statements on the 27-year-old over his lackluster performances over the last few weeks. Tweets like “Trash Allen,” and “JOSH ALLEN GOT OUTPLAYED BY 2023 RUSSELL WILSON” have run rampant through social media.
While it is understandable that Josh Allen needs to pick up his game pretty sharply from this point forward, trolling of this kind will not help in any way whatsoever. What he needs to do right now is tune out the noise and focus on his strengths so that he can capitalize on them in match situations. And as for the bills as a whole, they need to look towards minimizing avoidable errors and creating opportunities to dominate their opposition when they’re least expecting it.
Broncos seize opportunity as Bills’ season hangs in balance
The Denver Broncos notched their third straight win after the game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday. This game in particular will surely infuse the players with confidence as the team doubled down on turnovers and rallied through the entire game to emerge victorious at the end.
Moreover, the way in which they were able to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat needs to be looked at more. After Wil Lutz missed a field-goal attempt from 36 yards, it looked all but over for the Broncos. However, Lutz got a do-over as the Bills made an unforgivable error of having 12 men on the pitch, which eventually led to them slumping to a defeat.
In the post-game press conference, the Broncos’ players talked about the win. “Boys were relentless all day,” said Wilson after the game. “We believe in our team, we believe in who we are, in our coaching staff … our defense was lights out.”
