Travis Kelce set to host Amazon game show “Are You More Intelligent Than a Celebrity?”

Travis Kelce has been in the spotlight long before his back-to-back Super Bowl wins with the Kansas City Chiefs due to his relationship with pop sensation Taylor Swift. His presence in the limelight has only grown since then.

The 34-year-old continues to make headlines, this time for his latest venture into the entertainment world. Amazon recently announced the launch of a new game show, with the star tight end set to take on the role of host.

The show, titled “Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?” is a spin-off of the classic game show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” and will be exclusively available on Prime Video. The former Cincinnati Bearcats player will host all 20 episodes of the first season, per WLWT5.

In each episode, an adult contestant will compete alongside a classroom full of celebrities from various fields, including stage, screen, and sports. The questions will cover a range of topics drawn from the elementary-level curriculum.

Unlike other game shows where contestants compete against celebrities, this show will have them working together. In the final round, one celebrity will join the contestant to discuss a sixth-grade-level question. If they answer correctly, the contestant will win the $100,000 prize.

The show is set to be streamed in over 240 countries and territories worldwide, although Amazon has not yet announced the official airing date.

The announcement of the show has somewhat overshadowed Kelce’s ongoing saga surrounding his university graduation ceremony, which he recently addressed.

Travis Kelce explains the graduation beer-chugging incident

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce found himself at the center of attention during a recent live show hosted alongside his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, at the University of Cincinnati’s Fifth Third Arena. The event featured various activities, including the Lombaby Games competition and a recording of their popular podcast.

As part of the festivities, Travis and Jason were officially presented with their diplomas. Nevertheless, one of the clips of the Chiefs tight end went viral when he decided to gulp down a beer on stage, eliciting mixed reactions from fans.

The Ohio native shed light on the situation behind the beer chug on his “New Height Podcast”. He explained that it was meant as a light-hearted way to conclude the evening.

“It was kind of just a fun way to close out the night. Hopefully you guys can understand that me chugging the beer was because I had a beer in my hand and I had to receive the diploma. So I had to get the beer out of my hand some way. Might as well just finish it. It happened to be full. I don’t know how that happened,” Travis said.

In jest, the prospective WWE player, Jason, chimed in to defend his brother, humorously expressing disappointment that Travis didn’t finish the chug during the podcast discussion.
