Travis Kelce’s mother Donna recalls meeting Taylor Swift at MetLife Stadium during the Chiefs-Jets game

Going to a game to support a favorite team is exciting, but seeing significant figures there may make the experience much more enjoyable. Such was the case when global superstar Taylor Swift was spotted at both Arrowhead Stadium and MetLife Stadium, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs during their game against the New York Jets.

These appearances gave rise to wild speculations about her relationship with Chiefs’ star tight end, Travis Kelce. As the rumor mill churned, it was Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna, who had a front-row seat to the excitement and had a chance to meet the Grammy-winning singer.

Travis Kelce’s mother on meeting Taylor Swift

Speaking on the TODAY show about meeting the pop-sensation for the first time, Donna Kelce said, “You know, it’s fairly new, so I don’t like to talk about it. It is just one of those things where, you know, obviously everybody saw me. I was in the box with her, and it’s just another thing that has amped up my life.”

On being asked about what it was like getting to know Taylor and enjoying the games with her, Kelce said, “It was okay,” with a wry smile on her face.

Netizens were quick to jump on this comment on social media. One user on X (formerly Twitter) commented, “It was “ok”? You’ve crushed the spirit of Swifties everywhere with those two letters!”

New Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce breakup song is already out

While Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship has just started running, people are already on the prowl to see if and when it goes off the rails. With the 33-year-old having a reputation for releasing a breakup song right after she ends a relationship, one user on X was creative enough to create one already.

Using AI tools to recreate Swift’s voice, the song went like, “You stole my heart, you intercepted it. Now you’re gone I have to accept it. Did I meet your mom too soon or did I do what I always do?”

However, this attempt did not go down too well with the swifties, with some lashing out in the comments section. One reply read, “This is the most cringe thing I’ve seen all week.” While another said, “Kind of mean to be rooting for their downfall.”
