In a Battle Royal that took place on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch successfully replaced Rhea Ripley as the new WWE Women’s World Champion. With Lynch’s seventh title win, WWE chief creative officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque acknowledged her as the company’s second-ever Women’s World champion.
Though she suffered some damage early in the bout, Becky Lynch triumphed over Nia Jax and Liv Morgan in Monday’s exciting Battle Royal finale. Teaming briefly with Morgan to eliminate Jax, the Man then clinched victory with a stunning manhandle slam to dispatch Morgan. With this victory, she took her redemption all the way, having previously lost to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40.
WWE CCO praised her title win graciously, even though Ripley’s absence caused a little bit of commotion in the arena. In his Twitter handle, Levesque said, “Hey, @BeckyLynchWWE…here’s that updated photo you requested. Big time congrats to your NEW Women’s World Champion.”
While it may seem like WWE is returning to old territory with Lynch’s reign, Triple H’s leadership gives her the ideal thone to develop fresh talent throughout her reign. With the belt secured now, fans suddenly took a keen interest in the “text” on her new ring gear. Since she was celebrating in the middle of the crowds, some zoomed in to read the text message on her outfit, which sparked curiosity and buzz in the crowd.
Becky Lynch’s new gear contains words from her book
The championship win that Becky Lynch achieved was not just an achievement, but also a moment that was extremely personal to her. By wearing the same outfit from WrestleMania XL that has a page from her book called “Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl,” she has been trying to symbolize a sign of her strength.
