Lakers star LeBron James is quite a social celebrity. He can often be seen sharing his views or promoting artists, products, or people on his social media accounts. He has a huge following and is one of the most followed NBA stars in the world.

Many celebrities are into streaming games and King James recently proposed the idea of getting into streaming games as well. This has got popular streaming platforms like Kick and Twitch fighting to get the Lakers star’s attention.

Twitch and Kick debate over who should get LeBron James

Game streaming has become a big profession in today’s world with a huge audience and revenue base. It has also become a great pastime hobby for celebrities as it allows them to connect to their fans on a more personal level than usual.

Twitch and Kick have become the two most prominent streaming platforms where people stream games. So, when LeBron James announced that he was thinking of streaming his Madden (NFL game by EA Sports) gameplay, both Twitch and Kick wanted to be part of it.

Twitch and Kick did not directly persuade Bron to join his platform. Instead, two prominent streamers from those platforms spoke on behalf of them. LeBron posted his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), and Twitch’s Daniel Clancy and Kick’s Adin Ross tried to persuade him to join their platform.

Clancy is a prominent streamer for Twitch while Adin is a renowned streamer for Kick. Clancy said that Bron should try streaming on Twitch as it is the best platform to engage with the audience while Adin invited him to Kick.

Will LeBron James take the same footsteps as rapper Drake?

Many celebrities have delved into the world of live streaming over the years. Some of them like to do it as a hobby to engage and connect with their fans like the Brooklyn Nets star Ben Simmons or the soccer star Neymar Jr, while others treat it as a way to enjoy and earn big money easily like the music industry’s megastar Drake.

Drake went on his first live stream on Kick and broadcasted himself playing a roulette game on Stake.com. Since then, he has become more and more popular and is now one of the most followed streamers on the platform.

Drake started streaming treating it as a way to make more money and give people a good holiday. He signed up with Kick and made a deal with Stake, the parent company of Kick, to pay him $100 million a year. So, it is yet to be seen if LeBron James will follow in Drake’s footsteps and join Kick with massive money or if he will go with Twitch. Only time will tell!
