What happened with Dolphins fans and Tyreek Hill’s mom?
During the Dolphins’ 31-16 win over the Giants, Tyreek Hill caught a 69-yard touchdown during the third quarter of the game. After scoring, Cheetah wanted to make the night memorable by giving the ball to his mother. It is because before the game, Anesha Sanchez, Tyreek’s mother, demanded to be a part of his touchdown celebration.
“My mom told me before the game, as she was riding over, ‘I need to be a part of your touchdown celebration today.’ And I was like, ‘Mama, I’m gonna get fined.’ And she was like, ‘I don’t care about that. I need to be a part of [it] today. Make it about mama,’” Hill said via USA Today.
So, soon after the touchdown, he headed to the end zone and threw the ball to his mother. However, one of his crazy fans did not realize the fact and came out with intercepting the ball before it reached his mom.
Hill’s mother instantly gave her response claiming it was for her. The crowd in attendance also made the fans understand that it was wholly dedicated to Hill’s mother. After realizing the matter, the fan did not hold back and passed the ball to the player’s mother who was behind him.

Craziness among NFL fans for their favorite players is common, yet not all the time they receive recognition. Though the fan might have forgotten the matter, the Dolphins’ receiver did not forget it and intended to give an astonishing recognition to this crazy fan.
The Miami Dolphins’ official page shared a video on X, featuring a good ending of the climax. The video showed that Tyreek Hill showed up at a restaurant where the fan was eating. Seeing his idol directly in front of him, the fan was absolutely stunned. Tyreek chose to astound him further by gifting him a football and a few other autographed items.
The man was on cloud nine following the incident as he was spotted conveying gratitude to the Dolphins player. The fan also did not shy of clarifying that he was unaware of his mother’s presence and also was not in the motive to steal the ball.
“You made my day that day. I didn’t know your mom was behind us. If I would have known, I would have stepped aside. I said, ‘Man, the greatest football player in the NFL is jumping up right here and going to give a ball’ and I said, ‘I’m going to jump up there.'”
Hill has eight receptions for 181 yards and a touchdown to end the night’s game against the Giants. Aside from his on-field performance, he also won the hearts of NFL fans by demonstrating that he has no hard feelings toward them and that he is grateful for having them as his support in Miami.
