Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton is one of the finest talents in the NBA right now. A lot of people know about Haliburton’s playstyle and his game awareness but little do people know about his love for World Wrestling Entertainment.
Haliburton is a big WWE fan and recently he got the opportunity to let his inner geek out. He showcased his love for the wrestling company on the Pat McAfee show as he showcased his desire to see “Hollywood Rock” at Wrestlemania 40.
Tyrese Haliburton wants the “Hollywood Rock” at WM 40
Tyrese Haliburton appeared on the Pat McAfee show and was granted an opportunity to let his inner WWE fanboy out. McAfee recently has been a regular guest on WWE and has made a lot of appearances on WWE shows.
Seeing the opportunity of having Haliburton at his show, Pat asked him about his interest in WWE and what he expects from the upcoming biggest show of WWE, Wrestlemania 40.
Haliburton narrated the story of his uncle buying him pay-per-view tickets for WWE events which sparked his interest in wrestling. The sport grew on him and he quickly became a fanboy. Tyrese displayed his desire to specifically see a WWE superstar in a specific version.
“I hope that we get to see Hollywood Rock back, can we get the theme song back, the guitar, the leather vest, I need all of it back,” reportedly said Haliburton.
Haliburton’s interaction with Booker T before Pacers game
The appearance on the Pat McAfee show wasn’t the first time Tyrese Haliburton has had the opportunity to showcase his love for the WWE. During a game against the Indiana Pacers WWE Hall of Famer Booker T showed up. Haliburton was delighted to know that Booker T had shown up at the game. He went to visit him and was delighted to see that Queen Sharmell was also present there.
Tyrese went up to meet with Booker T and Sharmell and hugged them. They exchanged a few words and Tyrese couldn’t contain his excitement. He reportedly said, “Booker T. No way! What is up, baby? No way! And the Queen, oh my God. I am a big WWE fan. That’s crazy.”
Haliburton was in a hurry so he only interacted with the former WWE stars for a short while. However, he told them that he would get a photo with them later.
