According to White, there was a time where Dwayne Johnson was really hesitant about opening a social media account. However, the UFC boss convinced him that he will be a huge deal on social media due to his superstar status.
Furthermore, White explained that it would be beneficial to Johnson from a business perspective as well and got his social media team to help The Rock set up an account. Dana White said, “The rock didn’t want to be on social media and I said, ‘You’re crazy.’ I said, ‘Do you know how big you’ll be on social media?’ I kind of explained it to him from a business perspective on why he should do it and I actually set him up with my social media team and they got him started. ”
The UFC boss also highlighted both the good and bad side of social media in the modern age and talked about how it’s both a boon and a bane for people these days.
