Vince McMahon, after his resignation as executive chairman of TKO in January this year, has yet to make a public appearance. The disgraced former supremo of WWE has been duly removed from the Stamford-based company’s records following the controversy surrounding Janel Grant sexual assault and trafficking case.
Many WWE stars of the past and present have shared their views on the ongoing legal battle of the 78-year-old. But two specific names have come to the surface in a recent report who are still in touch with Vince McMahon. According to CNBC, the two names are John Cena and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
It is no secret that the two superstars of the modern WWE era share a special bond with their former boss. Being the face of the company comes with significant responsibilities which both Cena and The Rock have performed under the guidance of Vinnie Mac. John Cena even opened up about Vince McMahon’s sex trafficking controversies but made it clear that he wants justice for the victim if McMahon is found guilty.
According to reports, Vince McMahon has moved on from WWE and does not have any contact with any TKO executives, confirming Mark Shapiro’s claim. Vince does not even talk to Triple H and his daughter, Stephanie McMahon, about the company he built. Incidentally, Stephanie McMahon also received some bad press due to her alleged involvement in the Ashley Massaro rape case aftermath and has been off WWE programming barring her latest WrestleMania 40 appearance.
Janel Grant’s representatives have criticized the Rock and John Cena’s reported association with Vince McMahon, but no response has been found from the two Hollywood stars as of the time of writing. Vince McMahon’s camp has vehemently denied the accusations as the former WWE chairperson is leading a quiet life.
Vince McMahon’s current whereabouts
According to NBC, sources close to Mr McMahon said that he is living his life to the fullest at the moment, remaining unfazed about the ongoing legal trouble. Vince McMahon recently had vacations in the Turks and Caicos Islands and Italy along with making massive transactions through sell of his TKO shares.
Apart from maintaining his regular routine, McMahon has been in touch with former US President Donald Trump. The two share a long history, and it has remained the same even after 40 years.
The Janel Grant case will be a long legal battle for both parties involved, and only time will tell what is in store for Vince McMahon.
